My experience was okay until I realized that the contract that I signed was not the price that we verbally agreed too. Obviously this is my fault for not catching that my acessories were added twice into the many lines of the contract (extra $1000)before I signed. The salesman agreed that it was wrong but his manager didn't even want to talk to him to verify my story, he just told me that I was re-negotiating the contract. Both Kelly Blue Book, and Black Book rate my trade in at approximately $5500. My vehicle is in mint condition interior, exterior, and has no mechanical problems. Vehicle is still covered under full-mechanical warranty through Land Rover for another 5,000 miles so vehicle is in perfect condition. Ed Voyles Honda quoted me $2000 for this vehicle as a trade-in stating the mechanic smelled anti-freeze in the engine compartment. Got an email quote from them over the phone for a 2011 Accord Coupe 6MT NAVI (blk/blk) saying I was approved and car was ready for drive out(all without my acknowledgement). In an attempt to resolve a previous matter and to have questions answered, I had been trying to get someone within customer service to help me at Ed Voyles honda in a follow-up to a better business bureau case I filed. Finally after hours of trying I finally get Pete Richards on the phone and instead of answering my questions in an attempt to solve the matter, he jumps in and threatens legal action against me with his lawyers. Tried calling several times to speak with customer service. Every time receptionist answered phone and transferred me, the phone just rang. No one ever picked up the phone. I let it ring at least 20 times each call. Well, I will be taking my business elsewhere!
This dealership imbibes every negative connotation of a car dealership. I have never had such an unpleasant experience car shopping. I was approved and secured the special financing rate on a brand new Accord from another dealership and was shortly in an accident. My car was totaled. I went to Ed Voyles to purchase a replacement car I was told that I would have no problem getting the special rate again. They gave a fair price.
